(Baonghean.vn) - Prolonged hot weather has caused drought in the fields of Nghi Loc and Hung Nguyen. Some fields have been left fallow and have to wait for rain to have water for production.

Mr. Hoang Duc An - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hung Nguyen district said: The whole district has 5,000 hectares of summer-autumn crop, but currently there are 1,000 hectares that are suffering from severe drought and have not been able to be implemented, located in the communes of Hung Yen Bac, Hung Yen Nam, Hung Tay... According to the crop calendar, the crop should be completed on June 20, but due to drought, the district has been behind schedule, and is expected to be completed by June 30.
