(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An will establish new centralized quarantine areas in districts and communes in a sustainable and long-term manner; strictly implement Covid-19 prevention and control supervision, especially for Nghe An people returning from epidemic areas, regardless of whether social distancing continues or not.

Information from Nghe An Department of Health: As of April 14, there are 670 cases in the province under quarantine. Of which, 28 cases are quarantined at home and place of residence; 20 cases are quarantined at district level; 584 cases are quarantined at provincial level; and 38 cases are quarantined at hospitals.
The province currently has 6 centralized quarantine facilities at the provincial level with citizens quarantined, including: Que Phong (3 cases); Do Luong (54 cases); Student Village, Campus 2 of Vinh University (164 cases); Nghe An College of Tourism and Commerce (149 cases); Vinh University of Medicine and Pharmacy (28 cases); Central College of Transport (186 cases).

Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health informed: The concentrated quarantine areas at the provincial level located at schools will be cleaned and returned to the schools after completing their tasks. The Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province will establish new concentrated quarantine areas in districts and communes in a sustainable and long-term manner.

Currently, Nghe An province is focusing on taking samples for testing for about 1,000 officers and employees who have been serving in quarantine areas. As of this morning, April 15, Nghe An has taken samples for testing for 6,998 cases, tested 4,764 cases (all negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus, 2,234 cases are waiting for results).

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh: It is expected that at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon (April 15), the Government Standing Committee will meet to decide on adjusting the instructions related to social isolation. Whether social isolation continues or not, Nghe An will still strictly implement the supervision of Covid-19 prevention and control, especially for Nghe An people returning from epidemic areas./.
