(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of July 26, authorities brought the bodies of two pilots who died during a training flight in Nghia Dan district to the Funeral Home of Military Hospital 4 (Vinh City, Nghe An Province).

As reported, at noon on July 26, Su-22U aircraft, serial number 8551 of Air Force Regiment 921, Division 371, Air Defense - Air Force, was on a training flight and lost contact at 11:35 a.m. The aircraft then crashed in Dua village, Nghia Yen commune, Nghia Dan district.

The two pilots who died in the training flight were: Lieutenant Colonel Khuat Manh Tri, Deputy Regiment Commander, Chief of Staff of Air Force Regiment 921, born in 1978; hometown: Le Loi ward, Son Tay town, Hanoi city; Senior Lieutenant Colonel Pham Giang Nam, Flight Commander of Air Force Regiment 921, born in 1972; hometown: Thuy Binh, Thai Thuy, Thai Binh.

Immediately after the incident, functional forces of the Ministry of National Defense, Air Defense - Air Force, Military Region 4, Nghe An Provincial Military Command and Nghia Dan District were present at the scene, urgently carrying out rescue and relief work. Many local people discovered debris suspected to be from the crashed sewing machine and handed it over to the authorities.
