Nearly 400 poor students who overcame difficulties received Tet gifts
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the 7th year Vinh University has organized the program "Warm Tet for students" with nearly 400 Tet gifts for students, to encourage and help them overcome difficulties to achieve high results in their studies.
On the evening of January 10, Vinh University organized the program "Warm Tet for students" to help and support students in difficult circumstances to welcome a warmer Canh Ty Spring 2020.
The program is a strong response to the Appeal Letter "Tet for the Poor" of the Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. This is the 7th year Vinh University has organized the program - a major social activity, promoting the fine cultural traditions of the nation, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and kindness, and noble gestures in the community.

During the program, Vinh University presented gifts to 370 disadvantaged students, each worth 500,000 VND on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020.
In addition to the material value, this is also the sentiment of organizations, units and kind-hearted individuals, officers and lecturers of Vinh University who have donated and supported to encourage the spirit with the hope that the students will ignite their will and determination to overcome their circumstances, demonstrate and promote their abilities in study as well as in life.

Previously, Vinh University organized many meaningful programs and activities such as visiting and giving Tet gifts to poor people in mountainous districts in 15 communes of 13 districts of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa provinces with a total value of 150 million VND; Donating 50 million VND to the program "Tet for the poor" organized by Nghe An Provincial People's Committee; organizing the giving of thousands of gifts including clothes, items... to people in remote areas...
