On the morning of April 11th, the Vinh City Department of Education and Training organized the STEM festival for the 2023-2024 school year.
This is the third year the program has been implemented, with the participation of nearly 500 students from preschools, primary schools, and junior high schools throughout the city.
With the theme "Igniting passion, awakening creativity, looking towards the future," this year's STEM festival is organized with many attractive activities.
In particular, the "Sunbot Arena - Young Tech Leaders" competition introduces preschool students to various scientific concepts, thereby fostering their interest and love for science.
For primary and secondary school students, the STEM festival will be an opportunity for them to express their passion for creative science and engineering; demonstrate logical thinking; and showcase their ability to apply theoretical knowledge acquired in various subjects to solve practical problems through competitions such as: Designing and building racing car models; and Building and programming robots.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Hoang Phuong Thao, Head of the City's Department of Education and Training, said: "The skills that students demonstrated in the competitions are the competencies and qualities that students need in the era of Industry 4.0."
