(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 16, in Vinh city, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held a conference to meet and listen to the voices of outstanding monks, nuns, and Buddhists in the province.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province chaired the conference.

Attending the event were representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, the Provincial Police, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Construction, the Religious Affairs Committee - the Department of Home Affairs; representatives of socio-political organizations of the province; the Executive Committee of the Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of districts, cities and towns with Buddhist establishments and representatives of outstanding monks, nuns and Buddhists.

Nghe An Buddhism has about 150,000 Buddhists, living in 71 pagodas and 1 Buddhist prayer hall, 526 monasteries, and associations, under the guidance of 109 monks, nuns, and monks. 40/71 pagodas have abbots, 15 pagodas have guardian boards, and 11 pagodas have representatives; 14/21 districts, cities, and towns have pagodas, while 1 town and 6 mountainous districts do not have pagodas, but locally there are monasteries for Buddhists to practice and live.Buddhism.

In 2022, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels coordinated to propagate and mobilize Buddhists to comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and local regulations. Coordinated to help organize the 3rd Provincial Buddhist Congress; propagated and mobilized responses to campaigns and patriotic emulation movements.

Monks, nuns, Buddhists and pagodas have actively supported money and goods to help the poor celebrate the Lunar New Year 2022, supported the construction of solidarity houses for poor households, and contributed to social security work. As of November 30, charity and humanitarian work,social security, the community welfare of Buddhism in the province is estimated at over 12 billion VND.

In the coming time, the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels will continue to propagate and mobilize dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhists to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee acknowledged the opinions, thoughts, aspirations and proposals of monks, nuns, monks and Buddhists and promised to recommend relevant agencies to resolve them to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of all people, especially the poor and disadvantaged in society.
