In the North, the price of live pigs today, September 27, 2024, remained unchanged, ranging from 68,000 to 70,000 VND/kg.
Traders in Hanoi and some neighboring provinces are buying pigs at the highest price in the region, 70,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, in Nam Dinh, the purchase price of live pigs is the lowest, only 68,000 VND/kg.
In other northern provinces, the price of live pigs is 69,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands region
In the Central and Central Highlands regions, the price of live pigs today increased slightly in Quang Binh, ranging from 64,000 to 69,000 VND/kg.
Traders bought live pigs at the highest price in the region in Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces at 68,000 VND/kg.
The purchase price of live pigs in Quang Binh after the increase is 66,000 VND/kg, equivalent to the price in Lam Dong.
Traders bought at the lowest price in Khanh Hoa and Thua Thien Hue at 64,000 VND/kg.
The purchase price of live pigs in other provinces and cities ranges from 65,000 to 67,000 VND/kg.
Pig price in the Southern region
In the Southern region, the price of live pigs today remained unchanged, ranging from 64,000 to 67,000 VND/kg.
Traders in Dong Thap, Dong Nai and Binh Duong are buying live pigs at the highest price of 67,000 VND/kg.
On the contrary, in Kien Giang and some provinces such as Long An, Tien Giang, Bac Lieu, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang, the purchase price of live pigs is the lowest, at 64,000 VND/kg.
In other localities in the region, the purchase price of live pigs ranges from 65,000 to 66,000 VND/kg.
Overall, pig prices have begun to stabilize nationwide, after a period of price increases. Pig prices surveyed this morning nationwide ranged from 64,000 to 70,000 VND/kg.
Vietnam's livestock industry, considered one of the key industries, is transforming from small-scale to concentrated and large-scale livestock farming. Livestock farming is not only an important economic sector but also affects the lives of about 6 million farming households.
In 2023, the livestock industry recorded a growth rate of 5.72%, with revenue reaching more than 33 billion USD, accounting for 26% of agricultural GDP and more than 5% of national GDP. Of which, pig farming is the main sector, accounting for 62% of total domestic meat production.
