DOJI Group listed the price of SJC gold bars at 131 - 133 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 2.9 million VND/tael for buying - an increase of 1.9 million VND/tael for selling compared to the end of last week.
At the same time, the price of gold bars was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company Limited - SJC at 131 - 133 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 2.9 million VND/tael in buying - an increase of 1.9 million VND/tael in selling compared to the closing price on September 14 last week.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 132-133 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to last week, the gold price increased by 3.5 million VND/tael for buying and 1.9 million VND/tael for selling.

World gold price this afternoon September 21, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 2:00 p.m. on September 21, Vietnam time, was 3,684.59 USD/ounce. This afternoon's gold price increased by 40.94 USD/ounce compared to last week. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,445 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 117.5 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of gold bars is 15.5 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Domestic gold prices increased sharply at the end of the week, along with the world gold price setting a new record. In the free market, both SJC gold bars and 99.99% gold rings increased in price. Some small gold shops are currently listing SJC gold buying at 133.8 million VND/tael and selling at 135.8 million VND/tael, an increase of about 6 million VND/tael compared to the end of last week.
However, compared to the historical peak of 143.5 million VND/tael recorded in September, the current price is still nearly 8 million VND/tael lower. Another notable point is that the price of gold bars on the free market is about 3 million VND/tael higher than the price at large gold companies.
Despite the continuous increase in world gold prices, forecasts for next week are divided. Individual investors are quite optimistic, expecting the increase to continue. On the contrary, analysts have a more cautious view.
A survey of 15 Wall Street experts found that only 40% of respondents believe gold prices will rise next week. The rest are split evenly between two possibilities: prices will fall or stay at current levels.
On the other hand, a survey of 285 individual investors showed clear optimism. Nearly 60% of them predicted that gold prices would continue to rise, largely because they have witnessed the impressive upward trend in recent times.
