World gold price today September 19, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 10:30 on September 19, Vietnam time, was 3,647.16 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 15.59 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,445 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 116.3 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of gold bars is 15.7 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
In total, after one day, the world gold price decreased by nearly 20 USD and plunged more than 50 USD compared to the previous peak. The world gold price continuously decreased after the US Federal Reserve (Fed) reduced interest rates by 0.25% as predicted.
Decree 232 is considered an important turning point for the gold market. However, domestic gold prices cannot be adjusted immediately to be equal to world prices. The market now needs to wait for the guiding Circular and time for the official amount of gold to be put into circulation.
According to the Vietnam Gold Trading Association (VGTA), in the medium and long term, the new regulations will help narrow the gap between gold bar prices and the world price. Instead of being about VND15 million/tael higher as before, the difference could be reduced to VND4-5 million/tael, depending on actual supply and demand.
A representative of a licensed gold trading company said that the reduction in the gold price gap depends largely on the import limit allowed by the management agency. When the supply is large enough to meet demand, the domestic gold price will be closer to the world price and limit speculation.
