Gasoline prices increase again after 8 decreases

Each liter of gasoline increased by 578-604 VND, oil products decreased by 83-125 VND per liter, kg from 3:00 p.m. today (May 13).

The joint announcement of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance said that gasoline prices today, May 13, increased again after 8 times of downward adjustment. Accordingly, each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 578 VND, RON 95 gasoline increased by 604 VND. Kerosene decreased by 83 VND per liter, diesel by 84 VND and mazut by 125 VND per kg compared to the adjustment period on April 28.

Thus, after adjustment, each liter of E5 RON92 gasoline will be at a maximum of VND11,520, RON95 gasoline will be VND12,235; diesel will be reduced to VND9,857, kerosene will be VND7,882 and mazut will not be higher than VND8,545 per kg.

Along with the increase in gasoline prices and the decrease in oil prices, the operator deducted an additional VND100 per liter of E5 RON92 gasoline from the Price Stabilization Fund, VND800 for RON95 gasoline. Diesel oil was deducted from the Price Stabilization Fund VND1,400, diesel VND1,600 and mazut VND500 per kilogram. The joint ministry decided to continue not to spend from the Gasoline and Oil Price Stabilization Fund in this operating period.

Gasoline prices have increased again after 8 consecutive price reductions since the beginning of the year due to the average price of finished petroleum products in the world in the past 15 days increasing again, 5-6 USD/barrel of gasoline. For example, the average price of a barrel of RON92 (used to blend E5RON92 gasoline) increased by more than 5.9 USD, to 24.420 USD; RON95 also increased by nearly 6.7 USD to 26.424 USD. Meanwhile, compared to the previous period, the average price of petroleum products decreased by 2.3 - 3.07% compared to the previous period.
