Gasoline prices continue to rise sharply
Each liter of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 985 VND, RON 95 gasoline increased by 956 VND after adjustment from 4:00 p.m. this afternoon (May 2).
According to information from the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, retail prices of gasoline and oil continued to be adjusted up for the third consecutive time since mid-March. Specifically, E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 985 VND per liter, RON 95 gasoline increased by 956 VND. Oil products also increased by 311 - 385 VND per liter, kg depending on the type.

After the price increase, RON 95 gasoline exceeded 22,000 VND per liter, up to a maximum of 22,191 VND; E5 RON 92 gasoline was up to 20,688 VND per liter. Diesel has a new price of 17,695 VND, kerosene 16,625 VND.
The fuel price stabilization fund deduction level remains unchanged at 300 VND per liter, but the operator continues to spend 925 VND per liter for E5 RON 92 gasoline and 283 VND per liter for RON 95 gasoline. These spending levels are down 460-531 VND per liter compared to the previous management period 15 days ago.
The average price of finished petroleum products on the world market over the past 15 days has continued to increase by 2.6-3.1%, forcing management agencies to increase domestic retail prices, even though the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund at many businesses is negative.
The price of ethanol E100 used to calculate the base price of gasoline E5RON92 according to the official dispatch of the Ministry of Finance is 14,791 VND per liter (excluding VAT).
Thus, after 3 consecutive periods of gasoline price management by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline has increased by a total of 3,564 VND per liter; RON95 gasoline increased by 3,642 VND.
