Director of Department of Health: Expand testing in Vinh City; Closely monitor sources of infection in Nghi Loc

In the past 10 days,Vinh Cityand Nghi Loc district are the two localities with community Covid-19 infections. Accordingly, from October 15 to now, Vinh City has had 55 F0 cases, belonging to 10 main infection groups: Bui Huy Bich Street; Nguyen Truong Khoat Street; Ben Thuy Ward; Trung Do Ward; Hung Dung Ward; Hung Binh Ward; Dong Vinh Ward; Vinh Tan Garment Factory; Nghe An Oncology Hospital and community screening cases... In Nghi Loc district, there are 11 F0 cases, belonging to 4 groups, including Nghi Xuan, Nghi Trung, Nghi Thach and Nghi Thinh communes.

After the F0 cases appeared, Vinh City and Nghi Loc District urgently traced, isolated, took samples for testing, isolated related cases, and locked down and isolated the areas. Up to this point, the locked down areas have been screened twice to isolate F0 cases.

At the urgent meeting, medical experts and leaders of the two localities focused on analyzing and evaluating the epidemic situation. Accordingly, although the Covid-19 epidemic in Vinh City has shown signs of decreasing, it is still very complicated when community infections still appear. Meanwhile, in Nghi Loc district, it has been gradually controlled.

Concluding the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Command Center, Director of the Department of HealthNghe Anstated: In the new state and situation, F0 cases will continue to appear. The requirement for all levels, sectors and localities is to proactively adapt, be safe, flexible, and effectively prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 128 of the Government.

Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh suggested: Vinh City should continue to investigate and trace related subjects F0, absolutely not miss F1; strictly manage blockade and quarantine areas; consider expanding blockade areas on Bui Huy Bich and Nguyen Truong Khoat streets.

Vinh City needs to conduct testing of all households in Trung Do ward, and for blocks 1 and 12, samples of the entire population should be taken; select 2 blocks in Ha Huy Tap ward to take representative household samples; take representative household samples for the entire Binh Yen block, Hung Phuc ward...

In addition, Vinh City also needs to continue to promote propaganda for people to go to medical stations for examination and free testing when they have unusual symptoms such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, etc.; regularly update the epidemic level to deploy appropriate epidemic prevention solutions; proactively consider and decide on the reopening of non-essential services in the area, to ensure "both epidemic prevention and control and economic development".
