Director of Nghe An Department of Health inspects epidemic prevention and control work at quarantine areas in Quynh Luu district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 4, Associate Professor - Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of the province inspected the epidemic prevention and control work at concentrated quarantine areas in Quynh Luu district.
Director of the Department of Health Duong Dinh Chinh and his delegation inspected the centralized quarantine areas in Quynh Giang and Quynh Lam communes, which are localities with an increasing number of Covid-19 cases in recent times.
According to the report from the Steering Committee of Quynh Giang commune, there are currently 6 Covid-19 cases in the commune related to the outbreak at Minh An General Hospital; the commune has investigated and traced 157 F1s related to the F0s and all have been quarantined at 4 quarantine points in the commune.

In Quynh Lam commune, up to this point, the whole commune has 21 Covid-19 cases and all are related to the outbreak at Minh An General Hospital. The commune has traced and quarantined 170 F1s related to the cases in 7 concentrated quarantine areas of the commune. In recent days, these 2 areas have recorded a number of new Covid-19 cases and most of them have been quarantined.
Through the inspection, comrade Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of Nghe An Department of Health requested the District Steering Committee and communes to focus on management, ensuring effective epidemic prevention and control conditions such as: Closely monitoring the health of quarantined citizens; grouping high-risk F1 cases to arrange separate quarantine, avoiding cross-infection in quarantine areas; implementing environmental sanitation well; strictly handling waste and medical waste according to procedures; maintaining security, safety and order in concentrated quarantine areas; arranging enough staff and forces on duty at concentrated quarantine areas, ensuring conditions for accommodation, living, and maintaining health to be able to work long-term in the complicated epidemic situation.

The Deputy Head of the Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Committee also requested agencies, units and localities to further strengthen inspection and control work, proactively and be ready to respond to complicated developments and situations that may arise from the Covid-19 epidemic; step up propaganda work and epidemic prevention and control measures of the Ministry of Health to all classes of people, not to be subjective or negligent but also not to panic, determined to soon push back the Covid-19 epidemic.
As of the morning of August 4, the entire district recorded 79 cases of Covid-19, of which 65 cases were related to the outbreak at Minh An General Hospital. The total number of people undergoing centralized quarantine is 1,966 cases, of which 825 cases are from outside the area.
