Google gives away 750,000 free lifetime accounts to Nghe An Education sector

Nghe An is the first locality in the country to receive the program free of charge for life. Accordingly, a representative of Google for Education has awarded 750,000email accountwith the domain name @nghean.edu.vn for the entire education sector with users from students, officials, teachers, and employees. The total value of these accounts is 18.5 billion VND/year.

The provision of free accounts will help teachers and students conveniently use Google's educational ecosystem. Previously, the Nghe An Education Department had 30,000 accounts to provide to teachers. However, this number was not enough for teachers in the whole province, leading to difficulties in implementing teaching tasks, lack of synchronization in applying information technology in performing professional tasks, especially in the period when the whole industry carried out digital transformation of education and organized teaching during the Covid-19 epidemic.

Also on this occasion, Nghe An Education Department was also given 1 year of free use of MegaEdu software system of Equest Education Group. This is an electronic learning material that helps to link all school management functions in a friendly, easy-to-use system. In addition, it has the feature of managing learning materials and classrooms, contributing effectively to the digital transformation of teaching and learning in schools to become simple, compact and cost-effective.

The software also provides a digital platform for all forms of online exams, tests, and assessments in schools.

During the program, the Department of Education and Training also received 35 laptops to support schools in teaching and learning during the digital transformation process. The total value of the devices is 245 million VND./.
