(Baonghean.vn) - After hacking the account, the scammer then went to the Facebook of Ms. Tran Thi Oanh (residing in My Hoa hamlet, Thanh Lam commune, Thanh Chuong district), currently working in Japan, and texted Ms. Oanh's mother to trick her into sending 32 million VND to a bank account in Thai Nguyen.

Accordingly, at around 10am on December 18, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thao (born 1974) was going to the market when she received a Facebook message from her daughter, who is working in Japan, who is still in regular contact, asking her to send 32 million to Ta Hua Hue's account at BIDV Bank, Thai Nguyen branch, for a friend who had an urgent loan.

According to Ms. Thao, seeing her daughter urging her, she immediately called her daughter to see her face to verify the information. After playing the video for about 5 seconds, the subject turned off the phone and texted: "Go to work, I will call you when I get home tonight". Because the network was weak, the image was blurry, Ms. Thao could not see her face clearly, only seeing the figure that looked very similar to her daughter and the way of speaking was the same as usual, with the sentence "In 2 days I will send you 50 million", so Ms. Thao did not suspect anything.

She was so flustered that she ran to borrow money everywhere. Finally, she went to Ms. Chin's house (a relative of the family living in Binh Ngo hamlet, Thanh Giang commune, Thanh Chuong) to borrow money and asked her to deposit 32 million VND into Ta Hua Hue's account.

At around 3:00 p.m. the same day, the subject continued to text: "He has received 32 million VND, mom, transfer another 58 million to the above account number for me, his family is in urgent need, in 2 days I will send you 130 million VND, mom, please consider borrowing more and transfer it to his family's account". At this time, Ms. Chin saw something unusual, vaguely understood that Ms. Thao had been scammed, so she pressed the phone and called back repeatedly but the subject did not answer. After that, Ms. Chin used Ms. Thao's account to send a warning message to the subject. When he knew he was exposed, the subject blocked his daughter's Facebook with Ms. Thao.

Mr. Tran Xuan Tuyen - Head of Thanh Lam Commune Police said: The above incident happened in the area, Ms. Thao's family has reported it to Thanh Chuong District Police for investigation and clarification.
