The pain of losing her husband had not yet subsided when a few months later, Ms. Dung was diagnosed with brain cancer. Due to difficult circumstances, in August 2019, she had to send her two children back to her hometown for their grandparents to raise and educate. As for her, after being hospitalized three times at Cho Ray Hospital, her condition became more and more serious, with blurred vision and memory loss, so her maternal relatives had to take her back to her hometown in Nghe An.
In early 2020, Ms. Dung was taken by her relatives to Hanoi for brain surgery at Viet Duc Hospital. After a re-examination, due to the lack of conditions to continue treatment at K Hospital - Hanoi, she was taken to the provincial hospital for treatment for a while, then sent home.

Also this morning, as soon as they entered the Children's Village, Thuy and Cong witnessed the SOS Scholarship Closing Ceremony of the 20th course and the transfer of boys to the youth dormitory. This is the closing ceremony to award prizes to poor students with good academic performance.
