Quynh Luu seafood circulates conveniently even though the locality is implementing Directive 16

Therefore, immediately after receiving information that dozens of fishing boats of fishermen in the district would return to shore to sell seafood at this time, local authorities and sectors focused on many measures to ensure distance from the boats to buyers and sellers of seafood right at the fishing port area.
At Lach Quen fishing port, Quynh Thuan commune, some fishing boats are coming ashore for sale.seafood. Completely different from the bustling and bustling atmosphere of buying and selling like before, now there is supervision from the Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station. Crew member Nguyen Van Hung in Quynh Long commune said: "When the ship arrived at the port, the Border Guard Station officers reminded us to anchor at a distance. Our ship still had a few tons of trash fish, so we contacted the traders and used a winch to transfer the fish directly to the car for transportation to consumption, so we also limited the traders from coming to pick up the fish in large numbers like before."

Through information from boat owners selling seafood at the port, mackerel is usually priced at 150,000 - 160,000 VND/kg but is currently only 100,000 VND/kg; hairtail, mullet, silver pomfret... have all decreased by 20,000 - 25,000 VND/kg. As for miscellaneous fish, the price has also decreased by 20 - 25% compared to the previous month's trip.
Fisherman Nguyen Ngoc Loi in Quynh Long commune said: After 10 days at sea, his family's boat caught more than 10 tons of various types of fish, however, due to the epidemic, purchasing power on the market has decreased.marketdropped, traders are not very interested in buying seafood for fear of not being able to sell. Therefore, the price of fish has dropped, while the costs for a long sea trip are more than 100 million VND, so this time the family's ship docked at the port lost more than 20 million VND.

Boats return to shore, seafood is availabletraderlocal and foreign buyers come to buy all within the day. All vehicles in circulation must register a QR code and the driver must have a certificate of negative Covid-19 rapid test results valid for 72 hours. Therefore, the transportation of aquatic products is also convenient even though the district is implementing Directive 16 of the Government.
According to a report from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quynh Luu district, in 2021, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, fishermen still actively went to sea and exploited seafood. Since the beginning of the year, the whole district has exploited nearly 39,000 tons of seafood, reaching 56.17% of the plan, up 11.84% over the same period last year./.
