Two important changes to the 10th grade entrance exam in Nghe An for the 2023-2024 school year

The Department of Education and Training has new guidelines for entrance exams to grade 10 for the 2023-2024 school year.

Accordingly, the admission subjects are students who have graduated from the General Education Program or the Continuing Education Program with the age specified in the Charter of junior high schools, high schools and multi-level high schools.

Students who are eligible to take the 10th grade entrance exam must be students studying at educational institutions in Nghe An province. Students transferring from other localities must be approved by the Nghe An Department of Education and Training.

This year, candidates participating in the entrance examGrade 10For the 2023-2024 school year, you must create and register online on the VNEDU system at the link:http://nghean.tsdc.vnedu.vnThis is the first year of implementing this method.

In particular, the documents that need to be updated when registering for the entrance exam to grade 10 include: according to the registration form on the system; attached files including: Birth certificate; Certificate of priority status issued by competent authorities (if any); Documents related to the place of residence of competent state agencies (for candidates registering for admission to the Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities); Certificate of achieving the title of excellent student, science and technology competition, talent competition at provincial, national, regional, international levels (if any for candidates registering for the entrance exam to Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School).

Like previous years, this year, each candidate can register up to 3 wishes:

Wish 1: High school (public, non-public) or Continuing Education Center or Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center.

Wish 2 to enter high school (public, non-public) that recruits wish 2 or Center for Continuing Education or Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education.

The third choice to enter a high school (public or non-public) that enrolls the third choice or the Continuing Education Center or the Vocational Education-Continuing Education Center.

According to regulations, for candidates whose first choice is a high school, a continuing education center or a vocational education - continuing education center, but that school has fewer registrations than the school's first choice enrollment quota, they do not have to take an exam but are considered for admission.

Subjects eligible for direct admission according to regulations include: Students of ethnic boarding schools; students from very small ethnic groups; students with disabilities who are integrated into the curriculum; students who have won national and international awards in culture; arts; physical education and sports; national science and technology competitions for middle and high school students who are eligible for direct admission to high schools in the area.

May 16, 2023:The Admissions Committee reviews the application, supplements information to complete the application registration, prints the application form, the registration list for each NV1 Unit (Form M1) on the School Management Page (https://vnedu.vn/), has students sign confirmation and collects the admission fee according to regulations.

May 20, 2023:The Department announces the admission method to the units (list of schools for entrance exams and admission consideration).

Before May 26, 2023:The units that organize the exam print the exam cards and send them to the secondary schools to distribute to the candidates.

According to this instruction, after the exam is over and the results are not yet available, students can change their first choice (NV1), second choice (NV2), and third choice (NV3). This is also the latest change in this year's exam. In previous years, candidates were only allowed to change their choice after the schools announced the admission rate.

Changing wishes is done according to the correct procedure including:

+ Students and parents go to the unit where the student registered to change their wishes.

+ The Admissions Board changes the candidates' wishes on the system. After completing the change of wishes, the Admissions Board prints the change of wishes into 02 copies with the same content, for the candidates and parents to check and sign to confirm all parties about the change of wishes (the Admissions Board keeps 01 copy, 01 copy for the student and parents to keep).

Candidates who change their preferences will have their exam results sent back to the unit where they transferred their preferences to conduct the admission process. Changing preferences only applies to transfers between schools that hold entrance exams; after printing the change of preferences form, candidates are not allowed to change it again.

Time to change wishes:Tfrom 7:00 a.m. on June 7, 2023 to 5:00 p.m. on June 10, 2023,After this time the system will not allow changes to your wishes.

This year's 10th grade entrance exam will be held on June 5 and 6, 2023 with three subjects: Math, Literature and Foreign Language (English or French).

Including written exams for Math and Literature (120 minutes).

Foreign Language subject is in the form of objective multiple choice test, consisting of 50 questions. Candidates will do the test on the Multiple Choice Answer Sheet according to regulations (60 minutes)./.
