Two pickup trucks carrying tens of billions of dong worth of drugs were stopped at the border

40 heroin cakes and 120,000 ecstasy pills were just intercepted by the Ha Tinh Border Guard in the Vietnam - Laos border area.

At around 3:00 p.m. on June 22, in the area near Cau Treo international border gate (Huong Son district, Ha Tinh), authorities caught Kham (23 years old), Bun Chay Zang, Si Phon Xong (29 years old), Duong Ta Xong (27 years old) and Chan Lau (24 years old, all Lao nationals) transporting 40 heroin cakes and 120,000 synthetic drug pills in 2 pickup trucks.

The two suspects confessed that they were transporting heroin and synthetic drugs from Laos, and when they got near the Cau Treo international border gate, they would find a way to illegally transport them into Vietnam for consumption.

According to the authorities, the heroin and synthetic drugs are worth tens of billions of dong. The case has been handed over to Lao police for handling.

Three days ago, the Ha Tinh Border Guard also coordinated with Lao authorities to stop two pickup trucks carrying 1,000 marijuana cakes near the Cau Treo international border gate, arresting two people.
