Thousands of people participate in the 16th 'Red Sunday' voluntary blood donation festival
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 28, in Vinh City, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Nghe An Province coordinated with Tien Phong Newspaper to organize the 16th "Red Sunday" voluntary blood donation festival in 2024.
With the message “A drop of blood given, a life saved”, the 16th “Red Sunday” Voluntary Blood Donation Festival has promoted the spirit of volunteering for the community among all classes of people in donating blood to save lives; overcoming the shortage of blood for treatment at medical facilities during the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin.
The amount of blood collected in the morning was 1,000 units of blood. The 16th voluntary blood donation festival is expected to collect 1,200 units of blood.
This activity is part of the 2024 blood donation plan of the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Nghe An province. In recent times, the province's voluntary blood donation campaign has received positive responses from many agencies, units, and schools in the province; demonstrating a noble gesture and profound humanitarian spirit for the community.
