Provincial People's Council surveys vocational training work in Con Cuong

Implementing the Project on vocational training for rural workers in the period of 2015 - 2020, the People's Committee of Con Cuong district has directed relevant departments, agencies and sectors to organize investigations and surveys on vocational training needs of rural people of working age, thereby proactively developing specific training plans. Through the survey, in the period of 2016-2021, the whole district has 235,383 people of working age with the ability to work. Up to now, the whole district has trained 7,176 workers and created jobs for 7,616 workers in the area, mainly in occupations such as brocade weaving, electric welding, industrial sewing, etc.

Vocational training has contributed to stabilizing the security and political situation in the area; promoting positive economic restructuring; increasing the rate of trained workers; and reducing the rate of poor households every year.

At the survey, delegates exchanged and discussed the results and shortcomings arising in the process of organizing vocational training for rural workers; methods and ways of recruiting, organizing vocational training and passing on vocational skills; state management of vocational training; the current situation of rural workers; difficulties in attracting vocational students in the locality; functions, tasks, effectiveness and difficulties in vocational training at Nghe An Ethnic Boarding Secondary School located in the area.

Speaking at the end of the survey, Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, highly appreciated the results that Con Cuong district has achieved in vocational training for rural workers; especially the direction and administration of the District People's Committee and the propaganda work of relevant departments, agencies and branches. He requested the District People's Committee, relevant departments, agencies and branches of Con Cuong district to strengthen leadership, direction and implementation; promptly overcome shortcomings and difficulties to further improve the quality of vocational training for rural workers; proactively attract businesses to the district, coordinate with businesses in vocational training and job creation for rural workers. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also received opinions and recommendations from Con Cuong district, synthesized and submitted to the Provincial People's Council and relevant branches for consideration and resolution.
