Support 10 million VND for family affected by fire in Thai Hoa Town

(Baonghean.vn) - November 16,The Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Red Cross of Thai Hoa town came to give gifts to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga - the wife of a soldier working on a remote island in Le Loi block, Quang Tien ward whose house was burned down.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga and her two children live in a level 4 house with a heat-resistant corrugated iron roof. At around 7:00 p.m. on November 14, 2017, while the three of them were exercising, the house caught fire. According to Ms. Nga, the cause of the fire was the spare battery of her phone that she left on the mattress exploded and caused a fire. The fire quickly caught on the mattress, then spread to burn all the belongings and caught on the corrugated iron roof. The total damage is estimated at over 300 million VND, including 20 million VND in cash that Ms. Nga had just borrowed from the bank, along with many newly imported goods that she had not yet sold.

It is known that Ms. Nga is the wife of Lieutenant Pham Hung Anh - a soldier on duty on a remote island. To encourage and help the family overcome difficulties, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Red Cross Society of Thai Hoa town gave Ms. Nga a support amount of 10 million VND./.
