Support livelihoods to escape poverty for 20 families of women members in Ky Son and Que Phong
(Baonghean.vn) - During 2 days (February 27-28), the Provincial Women's Union coordinated with the Border Guard Command and the Red Cross Society of Nghe An province to provide funding to support the livelihood model "Raising reproductive cows" in the two districts of Ky Son and Que Phong for 20 families.

In 2 communes: My Ly (Ky Son) and Tri Le (Que Phong), the working group awarded funding to support the livelihood model of "Raising reproductive cows" to 20 households. This activity is within the framework of the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" for the period 2021-2025.
With a total support amount of 200 million VND for 20 families, each commune has 10 households participating to buy breeding cows. The first litter of calves will be handed over to the Commune Women's Union to continue supporting other disadvantaged women's households in the commune.

The model implemented this time was extracted from the text message source of Hotline 1406 launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in coordination with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society, the Border Guard Command, and the Humanitarian Information Portal from February 28 to April 28, 2022 with the goal of mobilizing the community to join hands to build at least 130 livelihood models with a total value of 13 billion VND for border women.

It is known that in the past 2 years, with the support from the Union officials at all levels and businesses, the Provincial Women's Union has awarded a "Social Security" project in Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district worth 100 million VND. Supported 100 million VND for poor households, of which 50 million VND for 50 households to build garbage pits at home and 50 million VND to buy cows and pigs for 22 households. Supported 6 sets of computers and printers for the Women's Union of Nam Can and Na Loi communes, Ky Son district, Tri Le and Thong Thu communes, Que Phong district, with a total value of 75 million VND. Awarded 51 gifts to orphans, poor women members, and policy families with a total value of 26 million VND on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2023...
