Hoang Mai implements social distancing, 5 villages are locked down due to the first Covid-19 case in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Hoang Mai town will implement social distancing according to Directive 15, while 5 villages in Quynh Lap commune will be locked down.
At 11 p.m. on May 6, after an urgent meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long directed the blockade of 5 villages (Tam Tien, Dong Tien, Tan Hai, Tan Thanh, Son Long) of Quynh Lap commune (Hoang Mai town) to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic.
The five locked-down villages have nearly 1,900 households and more than 8,300 people. "Because the remaining villages are isolated, up to 7km away, there is no need to lock down the entire commune," Mr. Long said.
In addition, due to the presence of many F1s working (including the patient's sister-in-law and daughter), Quynh Lap Central Dermatology and Leprosy Hospital will be locked down and no one will be allowed in or out.
