Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; comrades of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee; delegates of the Provincial People's Council from 21 delegation groups and invited delegates.

The meeting held a discussion session in the hall on the morning of July 6 after listening to the heads of the 4 discussion groups presenting a summary of the opinions discussed in the groups on the afternoon of July 5. Before that, the Provincial People's Council divided into 4 groups to discuss the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year, the socio-economic development plan for the last 6 months of the year; draft resolutions submitted at the meeting; activities of the Provincial People's Council; and direction and administration of the Provincial People's Committee.

In Group 1, the provincial People's Council delegates from the constituencies: Vinh City, Cua Lo Town, Hoang Mai Town, Hung Nguyen District and Do Luong District had 12 opinions (including 6 opinions from the provincial People's Council delegates and 6 opinions from representatives of the leaders of departments, branches and sectors). In Group 2, including the provincial People's Council delegates from the constituencies: Nam Dan, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu, there were 6 opinions from the delegates.

Group 3 of the elected provincial People's Council delegates in the units: Thanh Chuong, Nghia Dan, Tan Ky, Yen Thanh, Thai Hoa town had 10 opinions from 6 delegates with 15 issues and 4 opinions expressed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and leaders of the departments to explain and clarify the contents of the delegates' discussions. Group 4 including delegates from the election units of the districts: Anh Son, Quy Hop, Quy Chau, Que Phong, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son had 14 opinions from the delegates to discuss.

This afternoon, the 14th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council will conduct questions and answers on 2 groups of issues including:

Group 1: Current situation, causes and solutions for implementing policies to support agricultural development, restructuring crops and livestock associated with production and consumption of OCOP products in conditions of adapting to the impact of climate change and market fluctuations. The respondents are the Directors of the Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development; Science and Technology and Industry and Trade.

Group 2: Current situation, causes, responsibilities and solutions to prevent and combat school violence; life skills education for students; prevention and combat of child drowning; protection, care and education of children in special circumstances. The respondents are the Directors of the Departments of Education and Training; Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs.
