More than 2,000 people participate in the Blood Donation Festival 'Giọt hồng Xứ Nghệ'
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 19 in Vinh City, the Nghe An Provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion and the Nghe An Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize the 8th Blood Donation Festival "Giot Hong Xu Nghe". Participating in the blood donation festival were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, representatives of leaders of departments, branches, sectors and organizations.
The blood donation festival “Giot Hong Xu Nghe” attracted over 2,000 people including officials, civil servants, workers, union members, youth, and volunteers from agencies and units in the province and wards and communes in Vinh city.

With the slogan "Red Journey - Connecting Vietnamese Blood", aiming to raise public awareness of voluntary blood donation; meeting the need for blood for emergency and treatment work during the summer and post-Covid-19, the festival will receive more than 1,200 units of safe blood and transfer them to the Central Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center.

Blood donation festival "Giọt hồng xua Nghệ" is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning to call on all people to participate in donating blood to save lives; showing the love, compassion, and sharing of Vietnamese people to contribute to overcoming the shortage of blood in emergency and medical treatment.
