More than 200 gifts of "Warm Tet in the West" come to people and students in the border commune of Dooc May
(Baonghean.vn) - This is a series of activities "Warm Tet in the West" within the Winter Volunteer Program 2019 and Spring Volunteer Program 2020 organized by the Provincial Youth Union and Youth Union of Nghe An province to share and encourage people and youth in mountainous areas with difficult circumstances during the coming of Tet and Spring.
On January 12, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and the Secretariat of the Youth Union of Nghe An province organized the gift giving program "Warm Tet in the West" in Dooc May commune, Ky Son district.

At the program, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Secretariat of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union presented 162 warm clothes to students of Dooc May Primary School and 50 gifts to disadvantaged households in the commune.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Chu Duc Thai shared: "These are small gifts but they are the hearts of the province's youth with the desire to share the difficulties in life, helping the people and children feel warmer when winter is coming...".

Also on this occasion, in order to support and help poor and near-poor youth households have more motivation to develop their family economy, escape poverty sustainably, and contribute to building new rural areas in the locality, the delegation presented 2 calves to the families of Lau Ba Do (Huoi Kho Village) and Gia Ba Phia (Huoi Vieng Village), Dooc May Commune, Ky Son District; supported 50 million VND to build a charity house for the family of Gia Ba Xia (Pha Lech Phay Village).

The program aims to promote the spirit of mutual love and support of cadres, members and youth to join hands to help and support people in mountainous areas and areas with difficult socio-economic conditions.
Thereby promoting the spirit of volunteerism of Vietnamese youth in economic and social development, especially in remote areas, demonstrating noble deeds in the community, contributing to ensuring social security, especially during the Tet holiday.
