(Baonghean.vn) - The recent historic flood caused more than 1,000 m of alluvial land along Hieu River, Thai Hoa town to suffer serious landslides.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Binh in group 1, Tay Ho 1, Quang Tien ward, Thai Hoa town said: There has been no landslide in this area for a long time, but since the boats came here to mine sand, along with heavy rain, it has caused landslides on the riverbank. Currently, the landslides have encroached on residential areas, threatening Hieu bridge.

According to local residents, after each flood, landslides move 2-3 meters into the shore, causing hundreds of households to worry. They requested that the Thai Hoa town government soon come up with a solution to prevent indiscriminate sand mining.
