Attending the press conference were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports; Nguyen Phan Khue - Editor-in-Chief of Thieu Nien Tien Phong and Nhi Dong Newspaper; leaders of the football teams participating in the tournament.

National Youth Football Tournament(U13) is part of the national competition system that has been held annually for the past 25 years. The tournament has received the attention of state leaders and fans nationwide, and is a useful event for teenagers.

This year's tournament has the message "Fostering future talents", with the goal of continuing to become an attractive professional sports playground with high professional quality to help children have the opportunity to practice and foster their love of football, as well as discover potential factors contributing to the development of Vietnamese football in the future.

This year, due to the impact of the epidemic, however, with the efforts of the Organizing Committee, all levels and sectors, and the consensus of the teams, the tournament will officially start from December 24 - 31, with the participation of 14 teams. The matches will be held at 3 stadiums of SLNA Club.

Speaking at the press conference, Comrade Nguyen Phan Khue - Editor-in-Chief of the Young Pioneers and Children Newspaper, Head of the tournament's Organizing Committee, requested the participating teams to strictly comply with the regulations of the Nghe An Department of Health and the Organizing Committee. If F0 is detected, the teams must remain calm, coordinate with the Nghe An Department of Health to isolate the cases, along with promptly isolating and tracing F1s. He also hopes that the participating teams will be united and determined to work together towards a successful tournament, bringing a useful playground for the children.

Also at the press conference, comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An emphasized that this year, although the epidemic situation is very complicated, however, the leaders of the province, agencies, departments and branches of Nghe An have paid great attention to the department to complete the organization well. This year is a particularly difficult year due to the impact of the epidemic, in addition to mobilizing social resources to organize the tournament which is somewhat limited, the work of preventing and fighting the epidemic is extremely difficult. The comrade requested the participating delegations to strictly comply with the epidemic prevention measures. Athletes are not allowed to contact with outsiders, players must strictly comply with the "closed bubble" regulations. The host unit Nghe An will try its best to bring a successful and safe tournament.
