Hung Nguyen has 3 more communes meeting new rural standards

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 28, the Provincial Council for Appraisal of New Rural Criteria, chaired by Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, had a working session in Hung Dao commune.

Implementing the national target program on building new rural areas, Hung Dao has mobilized 94 billion 476 million VND, of which people contributed 13 billion 500 million VND to invest in building rural infrastructure, implementing new rural criteria. From 1,500 tons of supported cement, people have donated thousands of square meters of land, participated in labor days and contributed money to build 32.6 km of rural roads, and repaired and upgraded 9.5 km of intra-field roads to meet the standards of the Ministry of Transport. The irrigation system basically meets the irrigation needs for production, with 17.059/19 km of irrigation canals being reinforced.

Hung Dao also built a new multi-functional cultural house, a communal stadium, and 14/14 standard hamlet cultural houses; 11/14 hamlets achieved cultural villages, and in 2016 the rate of cultural households reached 84.5%. All 3 schools in the commune met national standards. The cooperative undertakes irrigation, seed, fertilizer and plant protection services. The rate of regular employment reached 92%. Average income per capita in 2016 reached 27.4 million VND. The rate of poor households decreased to 3.8%. Production and business establishments met environmental standards; the rate of households using clean and hygienic water reached 97%. Household waste is collected and transported to the province's landfill.

The Party Committee annually achieves clean and strong status, the government annually completes its tasks excellently, and mass organizations and socio-political organizations annually achieve advanced status or higher...

After checking the actual situation in the hamlets and reviewing the records of each indicator and criterion, the members of the appraisal council agreed to recognize Hung Dao commune as having completed 19/19 criteria, achieving the new rural commune status in 2016.

Previously, on December 27, the provincial council for assessing new rural criteria worked with Hung Loi and Hung Phu communes. To date, Hung Loi commune has mobilized a total of VND82 billion 885 million; Hung Phu has mobilized nearly VND107 billion to build new rural areas. Through on-site inspection and document review, the council concluded that Hung Phu and Hung Loi have completed 18/18 criteria, achieving new rural commune status (market criteria are not included in the planning).

Thus, up to now, Hung Nguyen has 10/22 communes meeting new rural standards./.
