Instructions for registering for high school graduation exams and university and college admissions online
(Baonghean.vn) - 12th grade students will register for the online exam on the exam management system from May 4 to May 13 at high schools. To help candidates get familiar with the exam, the Ministry of Education and Training will open the system 1 week in advance (from April 26 to May 3) for students to register for the test.
This year is the first year that 12th grade students nationwide register for the high school graduation exam online on the Ministry of Education and Training's exam management system instead of registering directly by form as every year. The Ministry of Education and Training said that it has piloted online exam registration and that students can do it easily.
Grade 12 students will register for the exam online on the exam management system from May 4 to May 13 at high schools. To help candidates get acquainted, the Ministry of Education and Training will open the system 1 week in advance (from April 26 to May 3) for students to register for the test. The account is the student's citizen identification number or identity card. In case there is no citizen identification or identity card, the identification code issued by the police agency will be used instead.
Mr. Pham Quoc Khanh - Deputy Director of the Department of Quality Management (Ministry of Education and Training) said that this is the first time 12th grade students have registered for the exam online, so the Ministry has piloted online registration at 2 high schools in disadvantaged areas of Bac Giang and Hoa Binh provinces and the results show that students have registered online very smoothly:
Candidates enterhttp://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vnLog in with an account that is a citizen identification number or identity card or identification code issued by the police and a password issued by the high school.
Independent candidates register for the exam and register for graduation recognition (if any) directly at the exam registration unit as prescribed by the Department of Education and Training. After submitting the registration form, they will be given an account and password to log into the exam management system.
Candidates need to keep their account information and password confidential. In case they forget their account and password, they can contact the school where they registered to take the exam to get them reissued.

Department of Education and Training......... Department Code:Candidates registering at the exam registration unit under the Department of Education and Training must write the name of the Department of Education and Training in the blank space, then fill in the 2 digits representing the Department of Education and Training code in the next 2 blank boxes. The Department of Education and Training code is specified by the Ministry of Education and Training.
Voucher Number: The place of receiving exam registration must write, candidates do not fill in this item.
Section 1, 2:Fill in the instructions on the High School Graduation Exam Registration Form (hereinafter referred to as the Registration Form).
Section 3:a) The candidate's place of birth only needs to clearly state the name of the province or centrally-run city (province/city). If born abroad, the candidate only needs to clearly state the name of the country (in Vietnamese). b) Ethnicity is recorded correctly according to the birth certificate. c) For foreign nationality, mark (X) in the box next to it.
Section 4:For new CCCD or ID card models, fill in all 12 digits in the corresponding boxes; for old ID card models, fill in 9 digits in the last 9 boxes on the right, leave the first three boxes blank.
Section 5:The province/city code, district/county code and commune/ward code for communes/wards in Region 1 will be determined by the Ministry of Education and Training. Candidates need to look up at the place of registration to correctly enter the province/city code, district/county code, commune/ward code where the candidate has current permanent residence/household registration in the corresponding boxes on the right. Candidates who do not have a permanent residence/household registration in a commune in Region 1 should leave the commune code box blank. After filling in all administrative unit codes in the boxes, candidates should clearly write the name of the commune/ward, district/county, province/city in the blank line. For candidates who are prioritized for subjects or areas related to their permanent residence/household registration, it is required to confirm that they have had a permanent residence/household registration for over 18 months in Region 1 or over 18 months in a particularly difficult commune or a commune with a particularly difficult village during their high school years by ticking the corresponding box.
Section 6:Write the school name and address to the district/county, province/city of the school on the dotted line. Write the province code where the school is located in the first 2 boxes, write the school code next (school code is written according to the regulations of the Department of Education and Training, if the school code has 1 digit, write 0 in the first 2 boxes, if the school code has 2 digits, write 0 in the first box). For candidates who are police officers or soldiers sent to take the exam for university or college admission, write the province/city code corresponding to the province where they are stationed and the high school code is 900. For candidates who have studied abroad, for the years of studying abroad, write the province/city code corresponding to the province/city according to the place/permanent residence in Vietnam and the high school code is 800. Class name section: clearly write the name of the 12th grade where the student is studying (for example 12A1, 12A2,...), for independent candidates write "TDO".
Section 7:Clearly state your phone number and email. For candidates who require adjustments to their online admission registration, they need to register their mobile phone number to receive a one-time password (OTP) via text message to ensure security when registering online.
Section 8:Candidates must clearly state the contact information: full name; phone number; hamlet address (house number), village (street, alley), commune/ward, district/county, province/city. This address is also the address to receive the Admission Notice if the candidate is admitted.
Section 9:Candidates who wish to use the exam results to consider admission to university or college in Early Childhood Education, please mark (X) in the box next to it.
Section 10:Candidates must mark (X) in one of the two boxes to clearly indicate whether they are studying under the high school program or the high school continuing education program.
Section 11:For independent candidates, mark (X) in one of the two boxes to clearly distinguish whether the independent candidate has not graduated from high school or has graduated from high school (at the time of the exam).
Section 12:Candidates registering to take the exam at which examination council must write the name of the examination council and the examination council code as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training in the corresponding position.
Section 13:Students who are studying in grade 12 of high school must submit their application at the school where they are studying. Other subjects must submit their application at locations specified by the Department of Education and Training. The application unit code is recorded according to the instructions of the place receiving the application.
Section 14:Candidates who are currently 12th grade students (not yet graduated from high school) must register for the exam at point a, candidates are not allowed to choose the component subjects at point b. For independent candidates, depending on the purpose of the exam, depending on the choice of the subject combination for university and college admission, they can choose the whole exam (at point a) or only choose some component subjects (at point b) accordingly. Candidates can only register for one combined exam (natural sciences or social sciences). Independent candidates can only register for component subjects in the same combined exam. In case independent candidates who have not graduated from high school have exams/subjects (for high school graduation recognition) from the previous year that are eligible for retention, if they want to retain any exam/subject, they must record the score of that exam/subject in Section 16. However, candidates can still choose to take the component exam/subject (that they have requested to retain) to get the results for university and college admission. Candidates studying under the GDTX program can choose the Foreign Language exam if they wish to use the Foreign Language subject in the subject group for university and college admission.
How to choose a test/component subject: Candidates who register for a test/component subject will mark (X) in the corresponding test/component subject box. For the Foreign Language test, candidates will fill in the code corresponding to the specific language as follows: N1 - English; N2 - Russian; N3 - French; N4 - Chinese; N5 - German; N6 - Japanese; N7 - Korean. Candidates can only choose the component subjects in a combined test.
Section 15:For candidates wishing to be exempted from the Foreign Language exam, it is necessary to clearly state the type of certificate that qualifies for exemption or clearly state that they are a member of the national team participating in the International Olympic Competition in Foreign Languages according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. For the type of certificate that has the exam score (total exam score), candidates must write the score in the "Exam Score" box.
For example:Register for exemption from the Foreign Language test in recognition considerationhigh school graduateor register for admission: (Candidates write the type of foreign language certificate that meets the requirements according to regulations or clearly state that they are a member of the national team participating in the International Olympic in Foreign Languages to be exempted from the exam): TOEFL ITP Test score (If the Certificate has a test score, candidates write the score in this box): 450
Section 16:Candidates who have taken the high school exam last year, if there are exams/subjects that are eligible to be reserved according to regulations, candidates who want to reserve the scores of any exam/subject must write the scores of that exam/subject in the corresponding box (Note: For combined exams, candidates are allowed to reserve the results of each component exam if eligible, to reserve the total score of any combined exam, candidates must write the scores of all component exams of that combined exam). For the reserved exams/subjects, candidates can still register to take the exam (exam or component exam) in Section 14 only if they wish to use the exam results for university and college admission.
