Successfully detonated a 226 kg bomb

Previously, at 10:05 a.m. on May 29, 2022, while leveling the garden land, the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Hong Son hamlet, Nam Thai commune, Nam Dan district discovered a rusty bomb with faded markings. This is a bomb left over from the war dropped by the US and has been lying deep underground for a long time.

Upon receiving the information, the Provincial Military Command directed the Engineering Department to directly coordinate and guide the Nam Dan District Military Command to organize the zoning, put up warning signs in the bomb area, and inform the people in the area about the situation. Mobilize the militia and self-defense forces to coordinate with the Commune Police to organize 24/24-hour guarding, and protect the safety of the bomb area. At the same time, prepare forces and means well; complete plans and methods for collecting and destroying explosives in accordance with regulations, ensuring absolute safety.

The engineering force of the Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Military Command of Nam Dan district, along with local Party committees and authorities to develop a plan and move the bomb away from residential areas, to a detonation site to ensure absolute safety for people and equipment./.
