Nghe An mountainous district completes hardening of 94% of roads
Identifying that traffic comes first, with investment capital from the State, combined with contributions from the people and calls from the community, Quy Chau district has solidified nearly 94% of rural roads.
In 2023, Chau Tien commune (Quy Chau) suffered heavy human and property damage due to heavy rains, flooding many inter-village roads, and traffic disruption. Therefore, people were very happy when the road connecting National Highway 48 to Hoa Tien village was extended to Song Hat bridge, then to Chau Binh commune, completed and put into operation.

"From now on, with a big, beautiful road and a sturdy bridge across the river, our people can work and produce with peace of mind, and it is much more convenient to transport agricultural products to sell," said Mr. Vi Van Ty in Hoa Tien 1 village.
Not only bridges and roads are built, Chau Tien commune also benefits from many other infrastructure projects from public investment sources, helping to upgrade facilities to serve community tourism more conveniently. From 2022 to now, Quy Chau has many projects serving economic, social and educational development built from public investment sources. As of March 2025, Quy Chau has hardened nearly 94% of roads and is expected to reach over 95% by the end of 2025.
Among them, many large projects have been put into use, both helping to prevent flooding, landslides, and separating the rainy season, and creating convenience for people to travel and transport agricultural products such as: the bridge and road connecting from National Highway 48 to Hoa Tien village and extending to the bridge and road across Hat River, Chau Binh commune; the bridge and road connecting National Highway 48 to Cang Bai village, Chau Thang commune; the district road connecting from National Highway 48 to Chau Thuan; the Chau Hoi district road to Chau Thuan; the district road to Chau Hoi, Chau Nga. The Chau Thang bridge, Vai Chon bridge (Chau Phong commune), Song Hat bridge (Chau Tien commune), Khe Coc bridge (Chau Binh commune) have been completed and put into use.

As of March 2025, the approved medium-term public investment capital for the 2021-2025 period in Quy Chau district was over VND 733.7 billion; the 2021-2024 period has implemented VND 609.1 billion (reaching 85.94%); in 2025, it is expected to disburse VND 124.6 billion.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Hung - Head of the Economic, Infrastructure and Urban Department of Quy Chau District People's Committee said that along with implementing the orientations on two-level government and commune mergers, the district is also urgently speeding up the progress of public investment projects and works according to the approved plan, disbursing public investment capital on schedule, the target assigned by the province for 2025.

In 2025, Quy Chau district was assigned a total public investment capital of VND 97.5 billion, and by March 20, nearly VND 24 billion had been disbursed, reaching 25.1%. According to the Provincial People's Committee's synthesis, as of February 28, 2025, Quy Chau is one of the 5 districts with a public investment disbursement rate higher than the provincial average, reaching 85.94%, but has not yet reached the target of over 95%.
