Thieves stole dozens of panels for water collection pits in Vinh City.
(Baonghean.vn) - The stolen woven panels create potentially dangerous traps for passersby, ruin the urban beauty and affect water drainage. Currently, the authorities of Hung Loc commune, Hung Dung ward, Vinh city (Nghe An) are investigating and identifying the person who stole these woven panels.
Information from the authorities of Hung Loc commune, Vinh city said that while performing their duties on December 14, local forces discovered dozens of stolen water collection panels on the section from the North canal to the regulating lake.
Specifically, along the Phung Chi Kien and Nguyen Sy Sach extended routes, bad guys took away 26 water collection panels. These panels are about 60cm long, about 40cm wide, weigh about 10kg, and are made of cast iron. The panels have the function of blocking trash and leaves from falling into the collection pit, not affecting water drainage as well as protecting people from falling into the collection pit while moving.
The theft of the panels has caused many "death holes" to appear on the road surface, while this route has many people walking and exercising every day, if not observed, it is easy to cause accidents. In addition, the loss of the panels also limits the drainage of water on the road, losing the urban beauty.
People living around these roads said that it is possible that the vandalism happened during the recent cold and rainy days, and there were few people passing by so they did not discover the incident.
Through discussion, the authorities of Hung Loc commune and Hung Dung ward said that they have made a record of the current situation and reported it to the city. At the same time, the commune and ward police and urban order in the localities are coordinating to investigate and extract camera footage from households living near this place to verify the vandals and strictly handle them according to the provisions of the law.
