Connecting supply and demand of potential products of Western Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - 3 typical products of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve, namely yellow flower tea, Pu Mat tea bags and Ky Son ginger, will receive increased investment, connection and product consumption in the coming time.
On the morning of November 20, in Con Cuong district, Tin Viet Quality Consulting and Training Joint Stock Company coordinated with the Management Board of the Sustainable Forestry Development Program for the period 2016 - 2020 to organize a workshop "Discussing solutions to develop some outstanding products of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve associated with tourism activities".

Attending the event were representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve, Nghe An Province Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center; representatives of districts and units with typical products.
Biosphere ReserveWestern Nghe An, recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on September 18, 2007, this is the largest terrestrial world biosphere reserve in Vietnam with a total area of nearly 1.3 million hectares, located in the administrative boundaries of 9 western districts including: Thanh Chuong, Anh Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Ky Son, Tan Ky, Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop.

With the diverse and rich cultural characteristics of 6 ethnic groups (Kinh, Thai, Tho, Kho Mu, O Du and Mong), this place has created many unique products with indigenous characteristics that can only be found in the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve.
Specifically, about sAgricultural products include: Thanh Chuong tea, Que Phong passion fruit, Vinh oranges, Ky Son taro, Giang river fish, Quy Chau duck, Thanh Chuong chicken, Ky Son beef, etc. Forestry products: Bamboo and rattan products, wild honey, wooden handicrafts, etc. Precious medicinal products: Golden flower tea, cardamom, dog blood, Quy cinnamon, Solanum procumbens, Gymnema sylvestre, Ky Son ginger, etc. Products from traditional craft villages: Brocade weaving, Cua tiles, Quy Chau incense, etc.

However, these products are currently formed and supplied in a non-concentrated and spontaneous manner in the market mechanism, and most of them do not have a brand associated with regional characteristics, nor do they represent the characteristics of the region.
Therefore, promoting and promoting the trade of typical indigenous products, unique agricultural, forestry and handicraft products associated with the development of tourism economy, through the title of the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve, which is internationally recognized and known, is a necessary task. From there, meeting the goals of sustainable development and promoting the conservation, development and support functions of the Biosphere Reserve.

After the selection process, the Organizing Committee sent representatives of 3 Nghe An units to promote, trade and develop distribution channels: Pu Mat Medicinal Materials Joint Stock Company (Con Cuong) with tea bag products, Kim Son Green Technology Joint Stock Company (Que Phong) with yellow flower tea products and Huong Son Agricultural and Handicraft Service Cooperative (Ky Son) with Ky Son ginger products.
At the workshop, delegates, representatives of units and enterprises discussed the potential and advantages of products in the Western Nghe An Biosphere Reserve.
