This F1 case is a 31-year-old woman residing in Quang Trung block, Quynh Phuong ward. During her time working in Hanoi, she shared a room with two patients who were recently confirmed positive for nCoV in Hanoi. The two patients who shared a room with this girl were both related to the Japanese man who died in the hotel.
In a related development, the Centers for Disease ControlHanoiThis afternoon, 2 more positive cases were recorded. Both had a meeting in the same room with the Japanese man who died in the hotel.
The first case is a 24-year-old woman residing in Dien Bien Ward, Ba Dinh District, working at Mitsui Vietnam Co., Ltd., 9th floor of Red Sun River Building, 23 Phan Chu Trinh, Hoan Kiem District. She was identified as having close contact with "patient 2229" - a Japanese man who died at a hotel in Hanoi.
After the Japanese man tested positive for nCoV, she was tested and taken to a centralized quarantine area at Tu Hiep Student Housing Area, Hoang Mai, on February 14. On the morning of February 15, she tested positive.
The second case is a 43-year-old Japanese man who is also an employee of Mitsui Vietnam Co., Ltd. He stayed at Room 1507 of Somerset West Point Hotel, Quang An Ward, Tay Ho District. He had close contact with "patient 2229" and the 24-year-old woman who tested positive this afternoon. All three were present at a meeting on February 2.
A 54-year-old Japanese man died suddenly at the Somerset Westpoint Hotel, No. 2 Tay Ho Street (Quang An Ward, Tay Ho District) on the evening of February 13. The next day, his test result was positive for nCoV. The Ministry of Health recorded him as "patient 2229", classifying him as a positive case after entering the country.
The Hanoi Department of Health also issued information to find people who had been to a number of restaurants, hotels, clinics... where "patient 2229" had passed through, including the Red Sun River building./.
