French tourists run Marathon in Western Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - From April 7-9, a group of more than 60 French nationals came to Nghe An to participate in a Marathon program, combined with visiting some tourist attractions in Tuong Duong, Con Cuong and Thanh Chuong districts.
Welcoming the delegation were representatives of the Department of Tourism, Provincial Police, Provincial Border Guard Command and leaders of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong and Thanh Chuong districts.

Marathon program, combined with sightseeing of sometourist spotin Nghe An by a group of French visitors as part of the “Les Foulées de la Soie” (FDS) running program in conjunction with Laos and Vietnam, taking place from April 4-12. This is the 11th time the “Les Foulées de la Soie” running program has been implemented by the Sports Development Organization (SDPO).
This year, SDPO has chosen new routes in Laos and Vietnam. From Luang Prabang - the ancient capital of Laos, the group will run through three stages and spend one night at the Kaysone Phomvihane Memorial in Savannakhet Province. The race will also stop at the Pak Ou Caves and the Plain of Jars in Xieng Khouang for the group to visit.

Arriving in Vietnam, the team continued with 3 races. Two races at Pu Mat Nature Reserve, Con Cuong District (Nghe An), near the Lao border, where there is a beautiful natural landscape on April 8-9, including the race from Muong Thanh Con Cuong Hotel to Khe Kem Waterfall (distance 21km) and the race from Tham Nang Man rest stop to Pha Lai Dam, Mon Son Commune (distance 15km).

At the same time, tourists visited some tourist attractions in Nghe An such as the Sang Le forest stop (Tuong Duong), explored Khe Ran village, visited the Open Museum of Nature and Culture (Con Cuong), and visited the tea island (Thanh Chuong).
Afterwards, the “Foulées” running group will have a sightseeing schedule,discoverHa Long Bay, one of the most beautiful natural wonders of the world and the final stop at Cat Ba National Park (Hai Phong city).
