Opening of the 11th Nghe An Journalists Association Cup Football Tournament - 2023

This is a traditional sports tournament of Nghe An press, practically celebrating the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

The tournament had the participation of nearly 90 athletes from 6 teams.

The opening ceremony was attended by comrades: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nguyen Dinh Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications; leaders of Vinh University; leaders of departments, agencies, press agencies, representatives of sponsors and athletes of 6 football teams and a large number of reporters, journalists, members of the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Tran Minh Ngoc - Chairman of Nghe An Journalists Association, Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, Head of the Organizing Committee of the tournament said that the tournament was organized with the goal of enhancing health training, connecting and exchanging between reporters, journalists, members, press agencies and management agencies, accompanying the press in Nghe An.

Through 10 seasons with hundreds of goals scored, many technical situations, tactics and determination, the desire to win shown on the field, the matches of reporters and journalists are always attractive, exciting, and enthusiastically supported by a large number of fans. In the spirit of solidarity and joy, this will be a useful playground, a very meaningful activity to celebrate the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee and sponsors awarded 40 scholarships worth 40 million VND to Vinh University students with difficult circumstances who have excelled in their studies.
