On the evening of May 14, Vinh city held the Opening Ceremony of the Half Marathon.Vinh cityFirst expansion - 2022. Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An; Vinh City Party Committee, People's Committee; delegations of athletes, volunteers and supporters of Marathon clubs.

Through the organization of the tournament, Vinh city hopes to introduce and promote the image, people, and culture of Vinh city in particular and Nghe An homeland in general to friends at home and abroad.

At the same time, the first Vinh City Half Marathon also contributes to promoting the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" to improve people's health and physical strength; train people to develop comprehensively and improve the quality of high-performance sports in Vinh City, Nghe An Province.

This year's tournament has 20 clubs from many provinces and cities across the country, such as: Hanoi, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Thua Thien Hue and Nghe An... The tournament takes place from 5am to 8am on May 15. The venue is Le Nin Avenue (the largest street in Vinh city). Athletes will compete in a distance of 21.0975km. On the morning of May 15, the organizing committee will also hold a closing ceremony and award prizes to the delegations and athletes with high achievements.
