Opening of the 20th Nghe An Province Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024

Attending the 20th Provincial Phu Dong Sports Festival Final Round were more than 3,000 students representing all high school students in the province to compete in 10 subjects. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh affirmed: Physical education in general schools is an educational content, a compulsory subject, part of the educational program of all levels, aiming to equip students with basic knowledge and movement skills, forming the habit of practicing physical exercise and sports to improve health, develop physical strength and stature.

Thereby, contributing to the implementation of the comprehensive education goal according to Resolution 29-NQ/TW on fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training and the comprehensive implementation of the National School Health Program for the period 2021-2025.

With the above meaning, Phu Dong Sports Festival is the biggest sports festival for school youth, contributing to maintaining and promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", an opportunity to evaluate physical education work, the development of physical education and sports movements in schools.
