At the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term held on May 23, 98.93% of voters in Nghe An province elected 83/83 deputies to the 18th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term. Evaluation shows that the structure and composition of the new Provincial People's Council deputies basically meet the requirements; the quality and professional qualifications of the deputies are higher than in previous terms.

Due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, all delegates and guests attending the meeting have been vaccinated and tested for Covid-19. The Organizing Committee also strictly applied epidemic prevention and control measures according to regulations and instructions of the Central and the province.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Chairman of the 17th Provincial People's Council emphasized that the 83 Provincial People's Council delegates who were elected by voters are exemplary representatives of the great national unity bloc, representing the will, aspirations and mastery of the people, and will be a source of great strength and motivation for the 18th Provincial People's Council to successfully fulfill the important responsibilities assigned by the people of the province.

Looking back at the past term, on the basis of inheriting and promoting the achievements and experiences of the previous term, the Provincial People's Council term XVII has made many strong innovations in the content and methods of operation and has achieved very important progress in implementing the function of supervision and deciding on important local issues, contributing to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building the political system, meeting aspirations, consolidating trust and creating excitement and consensus among the people. The successes and lessons learned from the Provincial People's Council term XVII are a positive premise for the Provincial People's Council term XVIII to innovate and develop.

The political tasks set for the 18th Provincial People's Council are enormous, the responsibilities are very heavy, requiring the 18th Provincial People's Council to act promptly, proactively, creatively, make efforts, and be determined.

Detailed list of elected delegates to the People's Council of Nghe An province, term XVIII, 2021 - 2026

(Baonghean.vn) - On May 28, 2021, the Nghe An Provincial Election Committee announced the list of 83 elected delegates to the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026 (Resolution No. 120/NQ-UBBC).

At the meeting, delegates listened to the Provincial Election Committee report on the election results of People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2021-2026 term in Nghe An province and reported on the results of confirming the qualifications of Provincial People's Council deputies for the 2021-2026 term. The Provincial People's Council also elected Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Thai Thanh Quy to hold the position of Chairman of the 18th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term; Mr. Nguyen Nam Dinh and Mr. Nguyen Nhu Khoi were elected to hold the position of Vice Chairmen of the 18th Provincial People's Council for the 2021-2026 term.

The Provincial People's Council also elected leaders of the Committees: Law, Economy - Budget, Culture - Society and Ethnicity of the Provincial People's Council, term XVIII, term 2021 - 2026; Passed the Resolution to establish the Ethnicity Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term XVIII, term 2021 - 2026; Passed the Resolution stipulating the number of members of the Committees of the Provincial People's Council, term XVIII, term 2021 - 2026.

The Provincial People's Council also elected Mr. Nguyen Duc Trung to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term; elected Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Hoang Nghia Hieu, Le Ngoc Hoa, Bui Dinh Long to hold the position of Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021 - 2026 term and elected 22 members of the Provincial People's Committee, 32 members of the Provincial People's Jury for the 2021 - 2026 term.

The delegates unanimously approved the Resolution on organizing the 2021 regular session of the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council, term 2021 - 2026. According to the Resolution, from now until the end of 2021, the Provincial People's Council is expected to hold 2 sessions in August and December 2021.
