Inauguration and handover of Thanh Mai Commune Health Station and support for the construction of charity houses in Thanh Chuong district

Attending the ceremony were comrades: Dr. Le Thi Hang - Deputy Director of the Department of Continuing Education - Ministry of Education and Training; Colonel Bui Van Quy - Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation; Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huu Manh - Deputy Head of Politics of the Corporation.

On the side of Nghe An province and Thanh Chuong district, there were Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Mr. Trinh Van Nha - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district, along with leaders of a number of departments and branches of Nghe An province; Thanh Chuong fellow countrymen association of the southern provinces.

At the ceremony, Tan Cang Saigon Corporation and local leaders cut the ribbon to inaugurate the construction of Thanh Mai Commune Health Station. The project was implemented with a budget of over 3 billion VND supported by Tan Cang Saigon Corporation. The project's commissioning has contributed to supporting the construction of new rural projects in localities; improving the quality of medical examination and treatment, serving the lives of the people.

On this occasion, Tan Cang Saigon Corporation also allocated funds to support the construction of 03 gratitude houses for the households of Mrs. Bui Thi Lien (born in 1965); Mr. Le Van Tin (born in 1990) and Mr. Tran Sy Thuan (born in 1984), who are households with very difficult housing circumstances in Thanh Mai commune.

In addition, doctors and nurses from the Saigon Newport Corporation Medical Center coordinated with the Thanh Chuong District Health Department and Thanh Mai Commune Health Center to organize a program to examine, treat and give free medicine to local people. During the program, nearly 200 free medicine gifts were examined and given to the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Bui Van Quy - Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation said: the unit is a defense and security enterprise under the Navy, Ministry of National Defense with two central political tasks: carrying out military and defense activities and production and business.

In addition to performing the above tasks, in recent years, Saigon Newport Corporation has always paid attention to mass mobilization, social charity, and gratitude work, such as: Building thousands of "Comrades' Houses", "Houses of Gratitude", "Houses of Military and Civilian Gratitude" for families with meritorious services, people with meritorious services, and poor households; annually supporting the "Fund for the Poor", "Fund of Gratitude", implementing the activity "Navy as a support for fishermen to go offshore"; the program "Navy sponsors fishermen's children"; supporting the movement to build new rural areas; caring for the poor, visiting, giving gifts of encouragement, medical examination and treatment for wounded soldiers, policy beneficiaries, and people with meritorious services nationwide. In 2024 alone, the budget for implementing mass mobilization activities is more than 90 billion VND.

Also on this occasion, Colonel Bui Van Quy - Deputy General Director of Tan Cang Saigon Corporation personally presented an intellectual house including 1,000 books and facilities to Thanh Mai commune with a total cost of more than 100 million VND.

The above activities have contributed to spreading the good qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Navy soldiers", demonstrating the profound humanity and traditional morality of the Vietnamese people; the beautiful culture of "loyalty" of Saigon Newport Corporation with the people of Nghe An homeland.
