Groundbreaking ceremony for 'House of Gratitude' for poor parishioners

(Baonghean.vn) - Towards the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2017), on the morning of June 5, at Hamlet 9, Hung Phuc Commune, Hung Nguyen District, the Political Department of Military Region 4 held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a "House of Gratitude" for the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Menh of Doai Yen parish.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Menh is one of the policy families (martyr's wife), a poor household in the area, unable to build a house. Through coordination with local Party committees and authorities to survey the family's actual circumstances, the Political Department of Military Region 4 decided to support Ms. Menh's family to build a house worth 70 million VND in cash, taken from the "Repaying gratitude" fund donated by officers, employees and soldiers in the Political Department.

This is a project of profound political significance, aiming to well implement the Party and State's policies and guidelines for families with meritorious services, and is a gift expressing the hearts, feelings and responsibilities of the officers, employees and soldiers of the Political Department of Military Region 4 towards the families of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions who are in especially difficult housing circumstances in the area where the unit is stationed.
