Prosecution and temporary detention of General Director of Nhat Cuong mobile and 8 accomplices
The Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has prosecuted General Director of Nhat Cuong Mobile - Bui Quang Huy and 8 accomplices.
Based on the investigation results and collected evidence, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency (C03) has dismantled an organized crime ring masterminded by Bui Quang Huy (born in 1974), residing at 151 Thuy Khue Street, Tay Ho District, Hanoi City. Bui Quang Huy is the General Director of Nhat Cuong Technical Services and Trading Company Limited (abbreviated as Nhat Cuong Company).
The Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency has conducted urgent searches of 09 locations related to Nhat Cuong Company; seized thousands of mobile phones, iPads, electronic accessories of all kinds... and related documents.

Initially, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security determined that Bui Quang Huy and a number of subjects had committed organized, transnational smuggling crimes; had established and used two financial accounting systems, leaving thousands of billions of VND in revenue off the books.
On May 14, the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency initiated case No. 27/C03-P14 on the crime of "Smuggling" under Article 188 of the 2015 Penal Code and the crime of "Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences" under Article 221 of the 2015 Penal Code, occurring at Nhat Cuong Company.
At the same time, issue a Decision to prosecute the accused, an Order of temporary detention, and a Search Warrant against Bui Quang Huy, General Director of Nhat Cuong Company and 08 accomplices for the crime of "Smuggling" prescribed in Clause 4, Article 188 of the 2015 Penal Code and the crime of "Violating accounting regulations causing serious consequences" prescribed in Clause 3, Article 221 of the 2015 Penal Code.
On May 14, 2019, the Supreme People's Procuracy approved the above Decisions and Orders. On the same day, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security executed the Order to arrest the accused for temporary detention and search of the accused in accordance with the provisions of law.
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of the Ministry of Public Security is focusing on expanding the investigation of the case, applying measures according to the law to clarify the nature, role, and criminal acts of the defendants and related subjects; verifying to recover and thoroughly seize assets for the State.
