(Baonghean.vn) - On October 22, the Investigation Police Department of Thai Hoa Town Police announced that it had initiated a case and prosecuted Tran Ngoc Quan (born in 1997), residing in Block 3, Long Son Ward, Thai Hoa Town, for the crime of "Murder and robbery".

Using a knife to control and rob earrings in broad daylight

Before that, at around 4pm on October 15, Quan went to visit Mrs. To Thi Loan (born 1957) who lives in the same block. Here, Quan discovered that Mrs. Loan was wearing gold earrings. Quan had the intention of robbing her, so he entered the house, took a knife, went behind Mrs. Loan, and used the back of the knife to hit Mrs. Loan on the head, causing her to lose consciousness.

After robbing the gold, Quan fled and then pawned it at a store in Hoa Hieu ward. As for Mrs. Loan, after being beaten, her family discovered her and took her to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment.

The investigation agency has clarified and said that Quan's above actions violated Clause 1, Article 93 and Clause 1, Article 133 of the Penal Code. The case is under further investigation.
