Prosecution of the case of 2 death row inmates who escaped from detention

Hanoi police have decided to prosecute the case and prosecute two death row inmates who escaped from detention.

The Investigation Police Agency - Hanoi City Police has issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Nguyen Van Tinh (born in 1989, residing in Dong Xuan commune, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi) and Le Van Tho (born in 1980, residing in Thanh Son commune, Thanh Ha district, Hai Duong) for the crime of "escaping from detention" under Article 311 of the Penal Code.

The agency has also issued special arrest warrants for two subjects, Le Van Tho and Nguyen Van Tinh. Notably, both are death row inmates awaiting execution.

Previously, on the night of September 10, these two death row inmates escaped from T16 prison of the Ministry of Public Security (located in Thanh Oai, Hanoi).

Le Van Tho has many previous convictions for murder, property appropriation, illegal use of military weapons, bribery, and theft. His identifying characteristics are about 1m65 tall, with a stocky build, a bearded face, and he is wearing a long-sleeved, ash-colored plaid shirt and blue jeans.

Nguyen Van Tinh has a previous conviction for receiving property obtained through crime. He is about 1m70 tall, thin, has short hair, wears a blue-gray long-sleeved shirt with floral patterns, and dark purple pants.

To serve the investigation, the Investigation Police Agency - Hanoi City Police requests individuals and organizations that arrest or discover or receive suspects to immediately report to the Investigation Police Agency of Hanoi City Police, address 55 Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao Ward, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi./.
