Controlling forest fire in Quynh Luu district
(Baonghean.vn) - At 10:20 a.m. on July 27, at Eo Tien Mountain, Tien Thuy Commune, Quynh Luu District, a fire was at risk of breaking out again. Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station, Nghe An Border Guard coordinated with local forces and authorities to urgently put out the fire.

Previously, at 4:00 p.m. on July 26, a pine forest fire broke out in Eo Tien area, Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu district. Immediately after receiving the report, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station mobilized officers, soldiers and fire fighting equipment to coordinate with local authorities, forces and people to the fire site to put out the fire.
After 20 minutes of actively extinguishing the fire, the fire was temporarily controlled. However, due to hot weather, thick vegetation and strong winds, the fire flared up again. The forces tried to create a firebreak and mobilized forces to extinguish the fire.
By 2:30 a.m. on July 27, the fire was basically under control. Initial damage was estimated at about 2 hectares of pine forest.
However, the fire is currently showing signs of re-igniting. The Nghe An Border Guard Command has directed units to be ready to put out the fire when needed.
