Remaining special TV show 'Under the Victory Flag' celebrating the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory
(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory, on the evening of May 5, Vietnam Television organized a special television program "Under the Flag of Victory" at 5 locations: Dien Bien, Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Kon Tum and Ho Chi Minh City, broadcast live on VTV1 channel, Vietnam Television.
Attending the program at the Ho Chi Minh City bridge point were Politburo members: Pham Minh Chinh - Prime Minister; Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; Nguyen Van Nen - Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

At the Hanoi capital bridge, there were Politburo members: Truong Thi Mai - Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Committee, Head of the Central Steering Committee to celebrate major holidays and important historical events of the country in the 3 years 2023-2025; Tran Cam Tu - Head of the Central Inspection Committee; General Phan Van Giang - Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense; Dinh Tien Dung - Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee.

Attending at the Dien Bien bridge point were Politburo members: Tran Thanh Man - Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; General Luong Cuong - Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.
Also attending were Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

At the Kon Tum bridge point, there were comrades: Nguyen Hoa Binh - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; Le Hoai Trung - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central External Relations Commission.

Attending at Lam Son Square, Thanh Hoa bridge, on the side of the leaders of the Party, State and provinces and cities were Politburo members: General To Lam - Minister of Public Security; Nguyen Xuan Thang - Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Comrade Le Minh Khai - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Party Central Committee members: Nguyen Duc Hai - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Ha Thi Nga - President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; Bui Van Cuong - Head of the National Assembly Office, General Secretary of the National Assembly; Nguyen Dac Vinh - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Education; Hoang Thanh Tung - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Law; Vu Hong Thanh - Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee; leaders of central departments, ministries and branches; Provincial Party Secretaries and leaders of Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces.

With a duration of 110 minutes, the TV show “Under the Victory Flag” brings the audience back to the heroic years with many unforgettable memories of a difficult but heroic war time of the nation. Wishing to convey the message that the Dien Bien Phu Victory is a common feat of the Vietnamese people and progressive humanity, fueled by the desire to win the right to live; to enjoy independence and freedom like many other nations in the world.

The program selected connecting points in Kon Tum, Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City and the capital Hanoi to express the sharing and solidarity of the whole nation, contributing human and material resources, not hesitating to sacrifice blood and bones, ready to give everything they have to contribute to victory.
The Dien Bien bridge is the main stage, vividly sketching the picture of the victory "Dien Bien glory, shaking the world"; along with the appearance of witnesses, such as the story from the two daughters of martyr Nguyen Thien Thuat, Nguyen Thi Oanh and Nguyen Thi Kim, about the process of searching for their father's grave.

The Hanoi bridge brings to the audience a unique feature of the heroic capital - the military medical soldiers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, such as Major General Nguyen Tu, former Deputy Director of the Military Medical Academy, with positive contributions to the medical examination and treatment of intellectuals for the resistance.
Thanh Hoa bridge with the touching story of the frontline workers, young volunteers like Mr. Tran Khoi, 98 years old, former Political Commissar, Secretary of the Party Cell of Thanh Hoa 101st Cargo Company. During the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, Mr. Khoi was a 28-year-old man, leaving behind his young wife and two young children, the eldest son was only 4 years old, the second daughter was just born two months ago. More than 70 years have passed, Mr. Khoi still remembers his initiatives on the way to transport food and provisions to serve the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.

The Kon Tum and Ho Chi Minh City bridges are stories about the "sharing of fire" between the army and people of the two localities with the Dien Bien Phu Battlefield.
Interspersed with reports and stories from historical witnesses, the art program at 5 locations was also elaborately staged by the production team, imbued with epic qualities, creating a continuous thread throughout the program, including famous song and dance works about Dien Bien Phu, songs that have stood the test of time, deeply engraved in the hearts of audiences through many generations, contributing to spreading patriotism, national pride, and arousing the strength of national unity.

At the end of the program, at the connecting points, Party and State leaders presented gifts of gratitude to Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who directly participated in the Campaign and served the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
The TV show “Under the Flag of Victory” has spread a message: Over the past 70 years, the flag carrying the aspiration for victory has led our army and people to overcome resistance wars for independence and freedom, gathering strength and will to constantly innovate and build the country.
