The delegation inspected the construction of the Bara Do Luong dam, part of the project to upgrade and repair the Northern Nghe An irrigation system. Up to now, the contractors have completed 80% of the project. As for the remaining parts, which are compartments 9 and 10 of the bara, the construction unit has also completed the pile driving of the cofferdam upstream to ensure the safety of the project during the rainy and stormy season.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also inspected the drainage operation of Bara Nghi Quang - the drainage hub for the entire Nghi Loc district. After many years of use, the project has seriously degraded. Due to its location close to the estuary and frequent contact with high-salinity seawater, the steel structures have been corroded and rusted; the drainage capacity is poor. Before the rainy season, the management unit had solutions to temporarily overcome the problems to ensure drainage.
