Provincial leaders work with Hoang Mai town on progress of new rural construction

On the afternoon of October 13, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee for the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in the province had a meeting with Hoang Mai town on accelerating the progress of building the town to complete the New Rural Construction.

Before working with Hoang Mai town, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu and the delegation visited Quynh Loc Kindergarten, the sea dike of Quynh Loc commune; the white-leg shrimp seed production facility of Hai Tuan Company Limited in Quynh Lien commune and the commercial shrimp farming area of ​​Quynh Di commune.

Regarding the progress of building the criteria for a new rural town, Hoang Mai town has so far achieved 7/9 criteria. The remaining 2 criteria have not been achieved: Transportation and Health - Culture - Education.

Currently, Hoang Mai town is accelerating the implementation of unmet criteria. In particular, focusing on building a number of schools; roads managed by the town; Town Health Center; Multi-functional Cultural-Sports Center. At the same time, directing and guiding the implementation of a number of contents in the environmental criteria: Environmental protection contents at production, processing and service establishments in industrial parks and craft villages ensure environmental protection regulations.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the results in building new rural areas in Hoang Mai town. However, currently some criteria are weak, so it is necessary to improve the quality of the criteria.

To build Hoang Mai town to complete the task of building new rural areas in 2020 on schedule, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu suggested that the town continue to do a good job of propaganda, taking the people as the main subject in building new rural areas. At the same time, diversify resources to support the construction of infrastructure works.

Focus on boosting production, increasing people's income, prioritizing vegetable production; commercial shrimp farming and promoting seafood exploitation. Strengthen environmental protection, especially at production facilities.
